The world-renowned experimental cross-genre music trio - "Big Brave" from Canada, who visited Latvia in May of last year, will stop for concerts in the Baltics as a part of the tour.
15.04. - Estonia, Tallinn at Sveta Baar
16.04. - Latvia, Riga at art centre Noass
17.04 - Lithuania, Vilnius at XI20
The reason for concerts in the Baltics is the trio's new album - "Nature Morte", which was released this year. Made in a relatively short time - immediately after the intensive concert tour, with a small break for rest, the band started recording, which resulted in an album with six new compositions. On the day of the album's release, it had already become a highly anticipated and sold-out record in many parts of the world in a short period.
One of the concert organisers Vents Feldmanis recalls a concert in Riga:
It was one of our warmest events of last year - the band is skilled, friendly and open-minded - a mutual pleasure of cooperation. To hear the band complementing both Latvia and concert visitors is incredibly satisfying. It will be a great pleasure to see them again.
Following records - "Ardor", "A Gaze Among Them" and the latest "Nature Morte" have found listening ears and reliable listeners, music reviewers highly praised the band's work, calling it loud but innovative. See the band performing live:
The band's origin is considered to be in 2012 when Robin Wattie and Mathieu Ball got together to play and experiment with instruments. As a result, songs in ambient/minimalist folk genres were born in this collaboration.
When the two were joined by an old friend, drummer Louis-Alexandre Beauregard, the duo was considered to have become a full-fledged band. The sound also changed towards more experimental, heavier and louder music. After playing together for a while, the trio recorded and released their debut album "Feral Verdure".
