Sudden Lights announce concert's support guests & release new single "Mūsu Mīlestība"

On 16 September ar Mezaparks Green Theatre Latvian indie-pop band Sudden Lights will held their first self-organised open-air concert, which will be the only performance in Riga this year. The support acts for Sudden Lights show will be their Lithuanian friend DJ Leon Somov, who has remixed the band's song "Aijā", and Italian alternative rock band Piqued Jacks, who represented San Marino at this year's Eurovision. Tickets here.

In the Eurovision Song Contest, Sudden Lights captivated audiences with their unique musical style and energy, winning widespread popularity not only in Latvia, but also internationally. This acclaim from fans has charged the band with a cascade of empowering emotions for which the band would like to thank its loyal fans by giving them and their fellow music lovers a memorable concert experience.

“After our exciting adventure in the European Song Contest this spring, we have absorbed some really powerful emotions. And after receiving such huge public support and countless kind words, we've decided to treat our fans to something special and unheard of. With its landscaped setting and atmosphere, the Green Theatre will provide a magical backdrop to our music and show. We're currently working on new musical compositions and surprises, so we can say for sure that this concert is going to be a new page in the career of Sudden Lights.”

For their latest album Miljards vasaru, Sudden Lights received 5 nominations for the Latvian music industry's Zelta mikrofons awards. And the band's hit Laternas reached No.2 in the Latvian radio song chart, Muzikālā banka.

Sudden Lights just released their arrangement of the song "Mūsu Mīlestība" (eng. "Our Love").

"Originally we planned to play "Mūsu mīlestība" only once at Latvia's 2nd Grand Music concert, but the response to the radio visit was so great that there was nothing to do but to record the song. We also received praise from the Čīkāgas Piecīši themselves, for which we are very happy. As this song has iconic links to Mežaparks, it will be a great honour to perform this song at our grand concert at the Green Theatre in Mezaparks on 16 September," says Sudden Lights.
