Daniel Levi's "Over The Moon": A lullaby journey to Eurovision

Estonian musician Daniel Levi has unveiled his entry "Over The Moon" for the Estonian national selection of Eurovision, “Eesti Laul”. The soulful ballad, now enriched by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, originated from a heartfelt lullaby the artist crafted for his children.

In his reflections, Daniel contemplates the song's essence, emphasizing the importance of creating a sanctuary for loved ones. He underscores the significance of providing a space where individuals feel liberated to dream, explore, and potentially venture into the cosmos to unearth genuine priorities. Considering the current landscape's uncertainties and crises, he observes the scarcity of opportunities to embrace grand aspirations.

Daniel Levi recalls, sharing the song's genesis:

I was there, beside their bunk beds, lulling my daughters to sleep, and this tune just appeared in my mind. It started with a simple hum, a melody I couldn't ignore. Night after night, I began to shape it into a lullaby, finally forming the words 'Last night I dreamt I jumped over the moon...

Collaborating with Estonian producer Vallo Kikas and renowned Swedish artist Victor Crone, who previously represented Estonia in Eurovision, "Over The Moon" took shape. Victor Crone eagerly expressed his intent to join Daniel in Tallinn, providing backing vocals for the final. The orchestral arrangement is the work of esteemed Estonian composer Tõnu Kõrvits.

Daniel Levi is set to perform at the competition's finals on February 17 and will grace the stage at Eurosonic Noorderslag, one of Europe's premier showcase festivals, on January 19. His recent milestone includes the release of his debut studio album “14/02” in collaboration with the prestigious UK label NCS.
