Kitty Florentine, an Estonian musical siren, who just performed at the European biggest showcase festival Eurosonic, and Czech producer Aid Kid have shared their mutual single “Balance”, which is the first collaborative song from the upcoming EP coming out in the spring of 2024.
Kitty Florentine’s and Aid Kid’s new song “Balance” aims to bring forth the delicate and ugly truth of finding footing in the infinite current of life. There’s nothing stable and stagnant in staying still. The truth is, it’s a constant motion, movement, growing, destroying and becoming. Track’s sonic language creates a robust yet soft textural heaven.
The collaboration between these two artists blossomed in spring 2023 at Milan's Santeria venue, where they both were performing through the Liveurope program. They managed to get to the studio, when Kitty was visiting Prague and performing at a festival there. Reflecting on the collaborative process, Kitty Florentine expresses her delight, saying:
”I’m very happy we had mutual time and interest to get creative in a space together, the whole process was really enjoyable and it was easy to find mutual soundscape”.

Kitty Florentine is an alternative artist, who likes to express herself through creating a fairytale, where she invites you to release the boundaries of what you’ve imagined possible.
She self-released her debut album “Maladaptive Daydream”, which has gotten warm and loud praise from critics and music lovers alike. She received Debut Artist Of The Year award and her album “Maladaptive Daydream” was nominated for alternative album of the year at the Estonian Music Awards 2023. In her fast rise, she has already performed in international festivals and showcases (Milan, Oslo, Vilnius, Prague). Recently she had several performances in New York, including at the Performa Biennal festival with sculptor and artist Kris Lemsalu, which was sold out.
Aid Kid (Ondra Mikula) is a Prague-based musician, producer and DJ. His self-released eponymous debut album Aid Kid got him instant recognition with the critics and the Vinyla award for Discovery of the Year. Apart from his solo work, he performs with the band nivva and Tomáš Sýkora Trio and he is part of an audiovisual collective Lunchmeat. As a composer, he is frequently working for theatre, film or with contemporary artists. Lately he established himself as a sought-after producer, working with some of the best CZ/SK artists, including Katarzia and Lenka Dusilová.
