Lithuanian singer’s-songwriter’s INGAJA music deftly combines deep, dark, lush and full of immeasurable sadness energy, acoustic rock melodies and tender ambient soundscapes. Her new single ‘QUIETNESS IN THE AIR’ is about slowing down, embracing the present moment, being here and now and looking for a different kind of today, as well as appreciating nature and our connection to it.
NGAJA (Inga Miku) was born and raised in a small seaside town Klaipeda in Lithuania and she has spent years accumulating her musical knowledge through participation in various musical endeavors and events in Lithuania and abroad. While her songs draw from such influences as Anouk, Ben Howard, Fink, Tash Sultana, etc., they all are colored by her own distinctive sound. Her inspiration for writing and composing is related to her immediate environment and her personal life experiences, however, she intentionally dedicates time to connect with nature as it helps to unplug and stimulate creativity. Nature and the feeling of wilderness can easily be sensed in dreamy soundscapes.
In February (2017) INGAJA released her first EP album D A R K N E S S. Her songs have successfully been featured on local Lithuanian radios and and was also broadcasted on BBC radio in Liverpool. In 2018 she released two singles and videos – ‘No Time To Waste’ and ‘Down‘. Since then INGAJA has been working on her upcoming album which is going to be released in September 2020.
INGAJA has also performed in numerous music festivals in Europe including Liverpool Sound City Festival (UK), Norden Festival (Germany), Loftas Fest (Lithuania), What’s Next In Music Showcase (Lithuania).
