Latvian musician Miks Galvanovskis delivers on his promise, dropping his highly anticipated album "Bohēmas Dienasgrāmata" (eng. - "Bohemian Diary") after teasing fans with the single "Stulbā Sirdsapziņa" (eng. - "Stupid Conscience").
The 12-track collection is a culmination of three years of creative exploration, featuring both established fan favourites like "Par Savu Zemi Saukt" (eng. - "To Call Your Land") and "25" alongside fresh new melodies waiting to be discovered.
"Bohēmas Dienasgrāmata" is a sonic diary, chronicling Miks Galvanovskis' emotional journey throughout the album's creation. He explains:
From patriotism to pessimism, from love to hate. It's a reflection of the full spectrum of emotions that come with a rock and roll life.
Longtime collaborator Reinis Briģis returns as the album's producer, his partnership with Miks Galvanovskis evident in the cohesiveness and polish of the final product. The album also features contributions from Miks Galvanovskis' regular touring musicians, with rising star Kristens Kupčs taking centre stage on several electric guitar solos.
But the surprises don't stop there. "Bohēmas Dienasgrāmata" boasts exciting collaborations with some of Latvia's hottest rap artists, including xantikvariāts, VIŅA, and goča (better known as Grandmasters Neons).
This album serves as a prelude to an even bigger event – the "Bohēmas Dienasgrāmata" concert at Palladium Riga on April 20th. Mirroring the album's diversity, the concert promises to be a high-energy extravaganza filled with surprises and a rollercoaster of emotions.
