Estonia-based Cuban singer and songwriter Rosa Cruz has released her new single “Giro de Vida” off her upcoming album Giro de Vida, set to release in March 2022.
“Giro de Vida is the love story between two girls who fall in love unexpectedly. The song is about passion and a magical bond between two souls. I fell in love and that completely changed my life path. I moved from Spain to Estonia to be with my girlfriend. The lyrics are deeply personal, I fully open my soul and heart there”, said Rosa about her new single.
“From that experience, many of my new songs are romantic, with passionate lyrics. I compose sweet melodies that have led me to interpret ballads. I have never performed this style before. It has also become a turning point in my music career, as my fans are used to listening to my songs full of rhythm, strength and energy.” - Rosa Cruz
Giro de Vida was recorded in Estonia, produced by Rosa Cruz herself, mixed and mastered by Risto Iljas at ILLJazz Studio. The single has also been added into the daily rotation for local radio stations.
Through the stunning scenes of her new music video, Rosa shows us some intimate moments, deep emotions and creative art by acrobat Laura Huertas. The clip is directed and edited by Esther Ruiz (Tábatha Arts). Filmed in Spain, Murcia at La Cítrica Activa.
Rosa Cruz has spent 20 years of artistic career in and out of the Cuba, giving the public sympathy and a strong positive energy on stage. She has released two albums, "Cosas del Arte" 2012 and "Abanece" 2018, which includes various musical styles, Afro-Cuban, Bossa-nova, Funk, Flamenco, Latin jazz.
Last couple of years she has lived and toured around Estonia and North Europe, where she performed at several music festivals. Last summer she had a great experience performing at the Nordischer Klang Festival in Greifswald, along with talented musicians, percussionist Yosney Linares from Cuba and Jason Hunter from the USA. Rosa currently resides in Estonia, where she composes new songs and collaborates on various music projects. Presentation concerts and tours of the new album are planned for the summer 2022.
