Latvian artist I MEAN LOVE has released a song "Savējo Sirdi" inspired by relationships. Authenticity, versatility and charisma best describes the multi-artist I MEAN LOVE (real name Raiens Šaubergs), who has worked in close cooperation with producer REFLX (real name Kristaps Hlevickis) to create the new song.
The main inspiration for the song and its lyrics are relationships. Relationships that force us to work with ourselves - to grow and develop as personalities. And for us to be able to do this at all, we need to be clearly aware of where each of us is at this moment and where we want to go:
"It's not about a specific place, but about values, self-discipline, the goals we strive for and experiences we wish to enjoy in this journey we call life," describes the artist.
I MEAN LOVE started his musical career at a very young age, but deliberately returned to the music field in 2017. In the last 5 years he has released 4 albums and 1 EP. These singles include musical collaborations with such hip-hop artists as Prusax, MC Apšaude, HUNN and Silraq. The most popular songs on Spotify right now are "Unknown Place", "6" and "to u".
At an early age, I MEAN LOVE caught the attention of the auto-tune vocal effect, which he remembers hearing for the first time at the age of 3, sitting in the back seat of his mother's car. Mom listened to the now legendary song "Believe" by the world-famous singer Shera. (Fun fact - "Believe" is the first commercially released song to use auto-tune).
Since then, the synthetic-cosmic sound of auto-tune has become very close to the heart the musician, so it is natural that he adds this effect to his music as well.
In the creative processes, I MEAN LOVE chooses to listen to himself as often as possible and less often to perceive "redundant" information from the outside world in order to hear his thoughts and feelings.
“The first step in creating a new song is the melody. The melody awakens specific emotions in me, which I then translate into words - using experiences, memories and simply current influences in my life. Although 95% of the time my lyrics reflect real events from my experience, sometimes I add an element of story to more accurately convey the main theme or feeling of the song to the listener” explains I MEAN LOVE about the songwriting process.
Ryan's artistic expression is not limited to music alone, he marked the beginning of this year by presenting his clothing line "I MEAN LOVE apparel" to a wider audience.
Asked about the meaning of his stage name I MEAN LOVE, the musician explains:
“It's a way of being. I THINK LOVE is all around! Everything we leave behind. All the tests that await us so that we can take a step forward again. Everything that reminds us to never give up on our goals and dreams. Everything that shows - WHO I AM, WHO YOU ARE, WHO WE ARE!"
