On February 24, a charity concert, "Tribute to Ukraine," will be held in the renovated Riga Circus, marking one year of Ukraine's struggle with aggressor Russia for the independence and freedom of its country. Ukrainian singer Ivan Dorn and more than 100 Latvian musicians and artists will take part in the concert.
Shipsea, Intars Busulis and the Abonementa Orchestra, Raimonds Tiguls, The Sound Poets, Dagamba, Tautumeitas, Carnival Youth, Goran Gora, Vestards Šimkus, Kaspars Zemītis, Daumants Kalniņš, Latvian Voices, Iļgi, men's choir "Gaudeamus" and other friends and supporters of Ukraine will perform to support the lives of those who fight for freedom!
Last year the charity concert on February 25 outside the Riga Congress Hall showed that together we have power. More than 2 millions were raised in that night and the support has been ongoing.
The "Entrepreneurs for Peace" foundation informed that the concert on February 24 will take place in person and will be broadcast live by Latvian Television and covered by the LSM.lv portal. Get your tickets to the live show here.
The special guest Ivan Dorn has been very active and taken part in various charity events including "Dod pieci!” and visited Riga within his #playforUkraine tour. In the interview we had with an artist before the #playforUkraine show, he openly shared with us the emotional rollercoaster the war has brought.
The creators of the upcoming "Tribute to Ukraine" concert are director Inga Tropa, musician Jānis Strapcāns, artist Krišs Salmanis, sound director Andris Ūze, and activists and supporters of Ukraine from the "Entrepreneurs for Peace" foundation. During the concert, every viewer can donate to Ukraine by calling a pay phone. All donations received at the concert will be directed to the support of Ukraine.
Listen to our Spotify playlist "#StandWithUkraine" and help Ukraine in these tough times.
Let's continue to show love, support and join together in a song at the charity concert just the way we did in 2022. Wathc an emotional performance of "Mana Dziesma" (eng. "My Song").
