The Sound Poets were founded in 2011, but became more widely known in 2012 when they supported "Prāta Vētra" on their Latvian tour “Vēl Viena Klusā Daba". Since then, the band has released 3 albums and performed both smaller and bigger concerts in the best concert halls and festivals in Latvia, as well as abroad.

The Sound Poets' albums have been highly appreciated at the Latvian Music Recording Award "Zelta Mikrofons". Their debut album "Tavs Stāsts" won the “Best Pop-Rock Album” of 2013, while their 2015 album "Pulsē" won the “Best Pop Album” nomination and was also awarded as “Album of the Year”. The band's third album "Trīs" was nominated in the "Best Pop Album" category and received nominations in the "Song of the Year", "Radio Hit" and "Origo Zelta Dziesma" categories for the album's first single, the song "Ceļš".
