The legendary American singer, trumpeter and showman Boney Fields will tour Latvia from August 10th to 13th. Together with a backing band, the musician will perform his most popular hits as well as tracks from his upcoming studio album "Just Give Me Some Mo", which will be released in September this year:
10.08. Ulbroka, cultural centre "Ulbrokas pērle"
11.08. Rezekne, "Gors", the Embassy of Latgale
12.08. Zvejniekciems, Skulte Port
13.08. Liepāja, Concert hall "Great Amber"
Boney Fields skilfully combines melancholic blues with energising funk rhythms that get the audience up on their feet and dancing. The performance will feature the musician’s biggest hits of all time and tracks from his latest studio album "Bump City". Besides, the Latvian audience will be the first to hear music from his upcoming album. He will perform on stage together with a strong team of Latvian music professionals "Blues Mastery Band" – guitarist Jānis Kalniņš, bassist Mārcis Kalniņš, keyboardist Atis Andersons and drummer Raitis Kalniņš.
"Real music by real musicians," is how the world-famous American musician Prince once briefly described Boney Fields’ music. Just like Prince, Boney Fields is part of this generation of African-American musicians born to tame the stage.
"Nothing beats the pleasure that you get from being in front of a crowd surrounded by your band, making music together," he says.
Boney Fields is an attractive artist coming from Chicago, but he creates his music by travelling around the world and participating in prestigious festivals such as Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Madajazzcar, Tabarka Jazz Festival and others.
