Latvian rapper Prusax is back with a bang, dropping his new single "TJZ" alongside a visually stunning music video filmed in the winter wonderland of Lapland, Finland. The high-energy track, produced in collaboration with Finnish beatmakers Evertime and EDK, marks a fresh chapter for Prusax. He explained:
Working on "TJZ", we knew it needed a powerful visual story. So, for the second time this year, I ventured beyond the Arctic Circle.
The music video, filmed by Arvis Belovs and edited by the Buddyski brothers, takes viewers on an immersive journey through a video game aesthetic. Director Elizabete Šukste commented:
The search for locations, battling snowstorms - it was intense. We even got caught in a blizzard while filming on a mountaintop! It was a crazy experience and you can feel that adrenaline in the final video.
The icy adventure reflects Prusax's ongoing fascination with video games and gamer culture, a theme throughout his upcoming album's visuals. Fans can also expect exciting collaborations on the album, as Prusax hinted at "a splendid lineup of guest artists."
This new single follows a string of successes for Prusax. His debut album "A+" garnered critical acclaim and "Golden Microphone" nominations, solidifying his place as a leading figure in the new generation of Latvian hip-hop. In 2021, he inked a deal with Universal Music Group, further propelling his career forward.
With "TJZ," Prusax delivers a potent dose of energy and artistry, showcasing his evolution as a musician and storyteller. The track will resonate with fans and solidify his position at the forefront of the Latvian hip-hop scene.
