Welcome sunrise in Riga together with Carnival Youth in support for Ukraine

On Friday, 18th of March at 6:00 o’clock in the morning, a pop up performance and concert “Meeting Point” will take place in Riga, Latvia at the backyard of the Latvian National Museum of Art to welcome the sunrise together with the music of "Carnival Youth".

In this intense time full of challenges, it is important for us to meet, share our stories and feelings with each other, as well as create joint events to promote the integration of the Ukrainian people into the cultural life of Riga.

It will be a peaceful event with an improvised stage, morning coffee and cookies. Bring breakfast, warm blankets and picnic chairs, as well as cash for donations in support for Ukraine.

Organizers especially invite Ukrainian people now living in Riga and all the volunteers who help selflessly. Lets experience the magic of sunrise illustrated by the music of Carnival Youth and share a moment in solidarity with Ukraine and everyone who gives a helping hand, their energy, money and love.

Follow the updates from organizers on Facebook event.

Indie band Carnival Youth is one of the most successful new generation bands from the Baltic region, as proved by The European Border Breakers award they received at Eurosonic 2016. Carnival Youth fuse neat melodic lines with the energy of alternative rock and indie music, while their emotion range varies from youthful melancholia to pure, bright joy. In 2021 the band released Latvian film music album "Naivais ku-kū" and recently published a very milky music video.
