Estonian artist Andreas Poom has graced his audience with a fresh single titled "20." Rather than a small reflection on turning twenty, the song delves into Andreas's introspective tendencies and his propensity to look over ordinary experiences more than most.
As he unravels the chorus, Andreas finds a silver lining in his propensity to overthink, concluding that the effort and time he invests in his endeavours are precious.
With a playful grin, Andreas dubs the song the anthem for control freaks and explains:
Throughout my life, I've been told to take it easy and learn to let go. However, I believe your twenties are the time for overthinking, panicking, and learning from your mistakes.
"20" came to life at the close of spring in Berlin, in collaboration with local producer Adam Lovac. Andreas shared that it was one of the most thrilling songwriting journeys organized by his publishing company, Elements Music. José Diogo Neves added the finishing touches to the song, and the captivating visuals were brought to life by Ako Lehemets.
Last summer, Andreas surprised fans with a double single, "As It Is" and "Kõik mis teen," the latter being his debut Estonian-language single. His goal was to explore new musical styles and modes of self-expression, seeking the true direction for his creativity.
Andreas is a valued member of the SMUUV label family, in collaboration with Warner Music in the Estonian market. His debut EP, "Broken," released last year, showcases Andreas's early teenage work, all crafted before he reached the age of eighteen. One of his singles, "Why Do You Love Me," garnered praise from critics and fans alike, propelling the young musician into the finals of "Eesti Laul," where he secured a top-ten finish.
