“To The Great Unknown” is the group’s first album after their already released EP and numerous successful singles such as "5AM" and "Thrills" with Gameboy Tetris. The latter two tracks also reached the #1 spot on the Estonian National Radio 2 Top 20 chart.
Gram-Of-Fun has incorporated many featuring artists and friends onto this new record - the noted rapper Nublu, 2015 Estonian Idol winner Jüri Pootsmann, rapper Gameboy Tetris, Ewert Sundja from Ewert and The Two Dragons, and the local alternative lyrical hip-hop artist Sammalhabe.
See what the band has to say about the album:
Bassist Kostja Tsõbulevski: “Times of change and the future unknown were largely the core of our main idea for the album. The album title was born during a demo session, but as it happened, the track itself didn’t make it to the album. What was also ironic during our process was the war, it really powered our initial idea even more”.
Guitarist Fredi: “I’d say the main themes of the album for me are growing into yourself, melancholy, groove, and dancing. The process wasn’t easy, but it makes the end result even more enjoyable. We went through growing pains as a band, but I feel as a result we are better than ever!”
Producer Martin Kuut: “It’s like a six person quest through music to find out what exactly is Gram-OF-Fun. The mood of the album is like.. deep thought and party side by side”.
The new single from the album is “Breeze”:
“Since it’s the opening track it sets the tone for the whole album. The song itself is super smooth and has a fresh step to it - like a real breeze must and should feel like,” commented the lead singer Kristel Aaslaid.
Gram-Of-Fun will also perform three album presentation shows in Estonia:
17.11 - GenKlubi, Tartu
18.11- D3, Tallinn
