Latvian musician RAUM has released “Plans”, his first song in English, which is also semi-finalist song for the Latvian local entry of “Eurovision” song contest Supernova.
“Plans” is about two people, who have found each other, but after some time they get afraid of potential growing relations, both are in doubts, but there must be someone first, someone brave to ask – do you want to try? / Can I be your plans for the weekend?”” tells RAUM. “With this song I’m encouraging everyone to make the plans, even there is no certainty of the future. We are living now.
With the song RAUM is participating in the Latvian national selection of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. “Plans” is song between sixteen other that are competing in semi-finals on February 5th.
“This song wasn’t written on purpose to enter competition, we made it together with couple great friends, it was meant to be real positive song, for real people to play in real concerts and I believe that this is something we all have been missing trough those couple years. “Plans” is pop/punk song, what was made for the live performances and that’s what I want to present. Of course, I remember that this is also TV Show, so I have couple tricks on my sleeve.” proudly explains RAUM.
RAUM (real name Reinis Straume) is performer and song composer, who have announced himself as solo project bon 2021. Couple years Reinis was part and lead vocals of the Latvian punk/ rock band “Double Faced Eels”. With band they have won competition “Best.Cover.Ever” in Los Angeles, as well Reinis was one of the finalists of the Latvian “X Factor”. RAUM is first signed Warner Music Baltics artist from Latvia.
