Estonian Rock Band 'Dramamama' Release New Single

New single “Head Above The Water” (released on July 12) is the second single from a new record due to be released late 2021 and features a new lineup with Jörgen Pakkas on guitar and a Finnish drummer Jeremia Kangas on drums.

“It’s a song where George Orwell meets rock & roll” says singer Mikk Tammepõld who also created the animated video for the song.

Dramamama was formed in 2008 with the intention to bring some rock & roll into the heavily pop oriented Estonian music scene. Founded by singer Mikk Tammepõld, guitarist Laur Joamets & bass guitarist Viljar Norman, the band has since released three studio albums: Dramamama (2009), VIP (2012) & Uphill Battle (2020). After the band’s guitarist Laur Joamets (who moved to the USA in 2013 to play in the Grammy-winning Sturgill Simpson’s band, now in Drivin N Cryin, LORE) have given occasional live performances and recorded an album in Nashville. After years being on an off on hiatus mode, Dramamama returns to the live stages this summer with a new lineup.
