Latvian jazz singer Santa Šillere releases debut album “Other Ways”

Santa Šillere, a Latvian jazz musician and composer, has released her debut album, "Other Ways." This album blends jazz traditions with contemporary influences, offering listeners a unique musical experience.

In "Other Ways," Santa Šillere explores her own path, with a focus on the human experience. She believes that emotions and insights are universal, connecting people across different backgrounds. Through her music, she hopes to resonate with listeners and help them reflect on their own life journeys.

The album was recorded in "Monochrom Studio" in Poland, with the Santa Šillere International Quintet, including talented Polish jazz musicians. It was later finalized in Latvia, featuring additional local artists. The album's production was overseen by experienced sound engineers.

One standout track on the album is "Rotājas debesis" (eng. - "Sky decorates"), which delves into the emotional turbulence of meeting someone special. This track is accompanied by a captivating music video.

Santa Šillere is a Latvian jazz singer, composer and vocal teacher. She has participated in such festivals as "Saulkrasti Jazz", "Rīgas Ritmi", "Birštonas Jazz", "Voicingers" and "Girls Power In Jazz". She is also a finalist in the international jazz artist competition "Riga Jazz Stage 2019".
