REZarin & [Ex] da Bass share cover of one of the most popular Simply Red hits

REZarin and ExDaBass. Fake cover.

One of the most listened dance music producers on Spotify from Latvia - REZarin and Latvia's leading DJ and music producer [Ex] da Bass have created an enjoyable, modern, and bold cover version of the legendary British band Simply Red's hit “Fake”.

“The garage has done it again (laughs), where Robert Palmer's songs were often played on the radio, inspiring me to create hit covers for the first time, but in all seriousness, our dance version of the song Fake was created because we've always enjoyed this piece (which is soon to celebrate its twentieth anniversary). Simply Red is on their long-awaited Blue Eyed Soul Tour 2022 as we speak, with the song Fake being performed as one of the band's biggest hits. The search for a singer was slightly challenging, but after evaluating various vocals in relation to our requirements, singer Joey Law from the USA got the upper hand”, says [Ex] da Bass.

“I've always been fascinated by Simply Red's work. Thanks to Mareks aka [Ex] da Bass, who proposed us to reunite and create a modern version of this song which, in my opinion, is one of the most tasteful pieces of this British soft rock band. By the way, Fake was recognized as one of the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play most requested hits in one of the weeks of 2004. We hope that our performance will be liked not only by our fans, but it will also catch the attention of the authors and the original performer of the song.”, adds REZarin.
