Sub Scriptum releases captivating new song

Latvian alternative/indie rock band, Sub Scriptum, has shared their latest single, “Sweet Screens”, which invites listeners to preserve their authentic selves in a world dominated by screens and illusions.

In an effort to connect with a wider international audience, Sub Scriptum presents its newest release in English. Lead singer Kristers Rudzītis reflects on the essence of the song, stating:

“On screens, everything is possible - to become a superhero, a movie star, or a rock musician. Just a few clicks and you are closer to your dream, as well as - further from your own reality. With the new song, we wanted to invite people not to lose their true selves while chasing the 'colorful' screens along the way.”

The essence of Sub Scriptum's music lies in its catchy melodies and rhythmic hooks, and the band always brings youthful energy to their shows. Their debut album, “21. gs. mode,” was released in 2020 with standout singles “21. gs. mode" and "Viegli ievainots” winning the hearts of their audience.

Sub Scriptum boasts extensive concert experience, having played in many different venues. The most notable concerts are the Summer Sound festival, the Great Amber concert hall in Liepaja, and the “Sporto visa klase’’ event held at Arena Riga. Currently, the band is working on new music, following the successful release of their EP, ‘’Mīlestības,” in Spring. The single “Kam Tādam” from the EP has gained popularity on Latvian radio stations. Moreover, Sub Scriptum has gained recognition on Ukrainian radio stations with their single “зійде сонце’’.

Originating from the picturesque town of Madona, Sub Scriptum was formed in the summer of 2017. The band consists of four talented members: Kristers Rudzītis (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Alvis Kozuls (solo guitar), Maikls Drobins (bass), and Armands Runcis (drums).
