"Baltic moMENT" showcase artists at MENT festival have been announced

The full "Baltic moMENT" program at the MENT Ljubljana music conference and showcase festival, which will take place from March 28th to 31st this year, has been announced. Get your tickets here!

This year, the MENT music festival program features the largest number of artists from Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania, and various music industry representatives from the Baltic countries will add to the music conference sections, sharing insights into music business trends and current events in the region.

Latvia will be represented at the festival by the indie and electronic music project "Bel Tempo", versatile and experimental avant-garde, psychedelic pop, academic, electronic, and jazz sound combination artist Elizabete Balčus, hip-hop, electronic music, dance-pop, and R&B combination icon Elīza Legzdiņa, as well as skilled sensual post-rockers "Nesen".

Estonia will be represented by longest serving slinger and shaker of the Estonian underground "Ajukaja" & swiftest moving Estonian avant-pop agent Mart Avi, alternative r&b, indie pop and electronica artist "manna", neo-folk artists "Puuluup" and noise rock veterans "Zahir".

 Urban etherealism singer-songwriter "Jausmė", gipsy punk and hi-NRG artists "Planeta Polar", noise rock band "Plié" and retro wave band "Superkoloritas" will represent Lithuania at MENT festival. 

The opening of the Baltic-focused event "Baltic moMENT" will take place at "Kino Šiška" on Wednesday, March 29th, and on March 30th, various presentations, events, and speed meetings will take place throughout the day to meet with regional music professionals one-on-one.

At the MENT conference, the music market in the Baltic countries will be discussed by the Executive Director of the Latvian Music Development Society/Latvian Music Export, the Director of Music Estonia, and the Director of the Lithuanian Music Business Association, who will cover topics such as festivals, concert venues, distribution channels, music media, and notable success stories. Additionally, representatives from Every Little Thing, Damn.Loud Agency, and Art Factory Loftas will share their knowledge on performing in the Baltic countries, while festival founder Ģirts Majors and professionals in niche genres will discuss their experiences.

MENT is a top showcase festival and music conference in Central and Eastern Europe, and the most significant event of its kind in the area. The award-winning festival presents music discoveries and provides a platform for performers from all over Europe to showcase their talents to international music professionals and audiences. In the last edition, 78 artists from 24 countries performed across 15 stages in Ljubljana, featuring a diverse range of genres. The eighth edition had 6,000 visitors, with many coming from nearby countries like Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Austria, and Italy. The international conference, attended by over 500 foreign and local music professionals from 35 countries, focuses on the music industry and creativity.
