On December 19, one of Latvia’s leading jazz musicians, Denis Pashkevich, will perform at Torņkalna Church, with a specially designed Christmas program performed by his jazz quartet. Tickets to the concert here.
“Christmas has always been special and full of emotions. During this time, we tend to see what is really important and forget what is not important, creating a special feeling of being together in each of us” say the organizators of the concert.
The concert of the Denis Pashkevich Quartet is specially designed for the mood of Christmas time, whose musical performance is based on a close and intimate mood. The concert program is based on the dynamic and sensory expression of instrumental timbres. The program is permeated by virtuoso solo moments of saxophone, flute, piano, double bass, as well as drum expression. The Christmas concert included both melodic and lyrical compositions, as well as fully saturated music intertwined with jazz music arrangement.
The program will included favorite Christmas tunes in both traditional and brand new sounds, which will allow listeners to enjoy moments of intimacy and presence in the atmosphere of the church.

Denis is one of the leading Baltic jazz musicians. Denis Pashkevich is one of the few artists in the Baltic region to be included in the European Jazz Family Tree, where he is mentioned as the founder of his own unique style in Latvia.
