grandson combines elements of bluesy hard rock guitars, trap-influenced beats, and EDM production, all wrapped up in powerful lyrics that explore addiction, mental health issues, and the struggles of everyday life. His latest album "I Love You, I'm Trying" is set to be released soon, but its precursors - "Drones", "Eulogy" and "Something To Hide" can already be checked on all the popular platforms.

“I’m painting the intimate portrait of myself I know how – covering themes of self harm, family trauma, the hidden side of life on the road, and so much more. This is the album that 16 year old me needed. This is the album I was scared to write and the album fans of mine deserve to hear. Above all this is the album where I face a big question: can I handle the changes life throws at me, and if this all that there is to life, can it be enough to be happy?”, grandson shares.

Jordan Edward Benjamin was born in New Jersey, but at the age of 3, the family moved to Canada. The guy spent his childhood and teenage years in Toronto, but after high school he entered McGill University and moved to Montreal. In parallel with his studies, he started to focus on creating a music. At first as a DJ, but gradually starting to create his own original works as well. In 2014, the young man moved to Los Angeles to start building a musical career.

Bills, Things Change and Bury Me Face Down were the first singles released by Benjamin under the pseudonym grandson in 2015 on various streaming platforms, each attracting over a million listens.

In 2018, he signed a contract with the record company Fueled by Ramen and released his debut EP “A Modern Tragedy Vol. 1", which included the single "Blood // Water" which exposes political corruption. The song drew much wider public attention, even entering multiple Billboard charts.

In the same year, grandson collaborated with Linkin Park co-singer Mike Shinoda on the song "Running From My Shadow." He also toured extensively, supporting acts like Joywave, Nothing But Thieves, Smashing Pumpkins, and Young The Giant.

grandson continued his musical journey in 2019 with the release of the 2nd and 3rd parts of the trilogy "A Modern Tragedy." In December 2020, he released his first full-length album, "Death of an Optimism," which had a heavier tone than his previous work.
