In a novel twist of entertainment at the intersection of Angārs and winter enchantment, a new concept unfolds—a series of mini-festivals promising a taste of summer during winter. Across four mini-festivals, attendees will have the opportunity to experience performances by beloved local musicians.
February 14, Love Mini-Festival: The Sound Poets & Chris Noah
February 23, City Mini-Festival: Patrisha & KATŌ
March 8, International Women's Day Mini-Festival: Mazais Princis & Čipsis un Dullais
These mini-festivals will merge the favourite venues of both city dwellers, not only extending their duration but also enhancing their content. Angārs will host a street food court, a relaxation area, another bar, and a DJ stage providing musical accompaniment between and after the concerts. The festival will typically kick off at 8:00 PM, with each musician slated for a performance lasting a little over an hour, accompanied by carefree, borderless moments stretching into the late night for the last dancer.
The objective of the event is to promote the overall development of the entertainment industry and ensure offerings even in the off-season. By physically combining two venues, event producer Gatis Popovs hopes to demonstrate that attending powerful and capacity-filled concerts of your favorite artists, and expanding them into a complete night-long experience, can be equally high-quality regardless of the season. Simultaneously, each festival is dedicated to a unifying theme, promising the audience a diverse musical experience, and providing support to the local music industry.
