On Friday, April 26, a new radio single by [Ex] da Bass (Mareks Dainis) titled “Deja Vu” has been released. Tune is a collaboration with the young yet internationally recognized dance music talent from Finland – Devinity (Joel Pirinen).
The song is retained in the best traditions of modern commercial dance music of Latvia and Finland. The vocals belong to the Finnish singer and songwriter Joanna (Joanna Heikkinen), whose voice resembles one of the biggest singers of our time – Dua Lipa.
[Ex] da Bass shares how he met Devinity:
“I was introduced to Devinity at a party in Helsinki, Finland, where, as a part of my previous collaboration, I went to perform with the world-famous Spanish DJ, winner of the EDMA 2024 “Best Remixer of the Year”, Sak Noel. Joel (Devinity) is only 24, but his music has been played over 10 million times on streaming platforms. A fact worth mentioning - he has collaborated with such amazing dance music artists as Calvo, Dazz and Viva La Panda."
Devinity's sound is a combination of pop and dance music which is perfect for both - radio and dance clubs. It resonated with [Ex] da Bass and after chatting for a few hours, they felt like they are on the same page and should do a record together. “Deja Vu” is an energetic, airy, summery and catchy song - suitable for radio, hot beach parties and big festivals. This is already the third [Ex] da Bass single this year, and several other thrilling projects are in the works.
