The art and culture website Arterritory.com have launched a virtual gallery "Supportissimo" featuring Latvian artists and invite art lovers to purchase artworks and donate money in support for Ukraine.
Arterritory explains the concept of the virtual gallery and how to make a purchase:
The idea of the project is very simple: if a visitor of the virtual gallery likes any of the works on view and wants to make his or her contribution to support campaign, they will need to contact us at info@arterritory.com and we will reserve the piece for them. Once we have confirmed that the work is indeed available, the buyer will have to transfer the amount given as the price of the work to ziedot.lv (‘Stand with Ukraine!’) and send us the bank statement as proof of transaction.
Arterritory hopes that the works purchased this way will acquire a double meaning for their new owners ‒ not just the joy of living side by side with art, of the positive energy it carries, but also the satisfaction that we get from a good and just deed ‒ helping people in an hour of disaster.
It is hard feeling fear, despairing and giving up hope. Helping each other is so much easier. And now is a time when every little detail, every action, every thought, every charitable initiative plays a part in the general balance of forces. Together we will withstand. And Ukraine will withstand. This proud and beautiful country and its people need our help.
By launching "Supportissimo: Latvian Artists for Ukraine" project, Arterritory calls on Latvian professional artists to make their contribution to support the people of Ukraine, people who now find themselves in the middle of a war. The list of artists featured in Supportissimo project is growing, so far such artists as Ieva Bondare, Laima Eglīte, Envija, Miķelis Fišers, Iveta Gabaliņa, Andris Grinbergs, Indriķis Ģelzis, Hele, Zane Iltnere, Atis Jākobsons, Haralds Jegodzienskis, Sandra Krastiņa, Kristīne, Ketupova, Sabīne Līva, Marenunrol's, Inga Meldere, Ģirts Muižnieks, Jānis Murovskis and many others have taken part in the campaign.
"Our dear friends, artists we have been writing about for many years now, supporting you in your creative initiatives and your growth ‒ if you are with us on this and want to contribute your works to Supportissimo virtual charity gallery, please contact us! The address is the same: info@arterritory.com," Arterritory invites to join.
